The Adult Detention Center incorporates a touchscreen control system that integrates door control, inmate phones, traffic signals, digital video recorders, lighting and intercom systems. The touchscreen control station communicates to the PLC for coordination of the various systems. The project consisted of four touchscreen controls. Three were located in Central Control and one was located in a secure location for safety measures. Corsair Controls’ responsibilities on the project included system design, graphic panel design, panel manufacturing, supervision of installation, PLC programming, project coordination with other trades, and complete point by point startup/troubleshooting. The system consists of one PLC controlling 640 Input/Output points that represent 150 controlled doors within the facility
