Corsair Controls was awarded a contract to provide security controls for four high security housing units with 64 cells in each unit, central control, receiving, medical, support services, warehouse, and the addition of two housing units the next year. Corsair Controls’ responsibilities on the project included system design, graphic panel design, panel manufacturing, supervision of installation, PLC programming, project coordination with other trades, and complete point by point startup/troubleshooting. The overall system included locking control, duress system, officer watchtour, and emergency lockdown/access systems. The system consists of sixteen PLCs controlling over 2600 Input/Output points that represent 860 controlled doors within the facility.
